Registrations FAQ

1. Why do I need to register on the registrations web site?

The registrations web site is a new secure facility used to licence your software.  By registering your details you are setting up your own personal account which we will use to keep you informed about our latest product releases and software upgrades.

2. How do I register my details on the site?

Registration is easy.  All you need to do is go to the login page and select the link that says Click Here to Register.

Enter your personal details

Select any other products you are interested in from the list at the bottom of the page

Click the button "Save My Details"

3. How do I receive a password for my product?

Once you have registered your personal details and you are logged into the site you need to click the "Product Registration" button.

Click the button "Register New Product"

Enter the 4 segment serial number found on the CD case

Select the name of the application you are registering

Read the Terms & Conditions, if you accept them click the check box and then click the button "Submit Registration"

Your product password will be emailed to you automatically

You can now click the button "Program Updates" to see if there are any software updates available for this product.

4. My product says "Error. Incorrect install password".  Why is this?

The product passwords are time sensitive and will expire at midnight on the day of registration (as an added security feature).  If you have been unable to enter the password into your product before it expired you need to request a new one.  [Click here to request a new password]

5. I can not log in to the registrations web site. Why not?

You maybe using incorrect login details.  To send a password reminder go to the login page and enter your email address in the text box below where it asks "Forgotten Your Password?".  Click the [Send] button to the right of the text box and your log in details will automatically be emailed to you.

6. I have received an email informing me of a program update.  How do I get it?

Log into the registrations web site and click the button "Program Updates" to see the software updates available for your product.

7. I have received an email informing me of a program update but I can not find it when I log into the site.  Why not?

If you have received an email informing you of a program update but, you can not see it in the Program Updates section of the registration web site, it may be because you have registered on the site more than once.  Each time you activate a product using a new serial number you do NOT need to re-enter your personal details.  You just need to login to the registrations web site using your original user name and password.  If you can not remember what this is use the method in Step 5.  If you have entered your details multiple times see Step 11.

8. I have received an email informing me of a program update but I do not have internet access

10. I have received an email informing me of a program update but the site says I am not entitled to it

Some product updates are only available to customers with a support contract, please contact registrations if you are unsure as to whether you are entitled or not. [Click here to check your entitlement]

11. I have entered my details several times on the site - I need my logins consolidating under one user name and password

Contact registrations making sure you have to hand the correct user name and password you wish to use.

12. Why does Keytime issue regular software updates?

Keytime issues regular software updates because we believe that any change addressed for a customer, however minor, is important and should be made available for the benefit of the whole customer base.

Microsoft also endorses the Keytime philosophy that customers should not have to wait for the eventual release of cumulative updates that address multiple changes. Unlike many of our competitors who opt to disguise the true number of versions by only issuing cumulative ones, we post all changes on our web site as soon as they happen.

13. Why am I not always notified about software updates?

There are two kinds of updates: minor and cumulative. You will automatically receive an e-mail every time a cumulative update is issued.  The e-mail will explain what has changed and how to download the update.  Like cumulative updates, minor updates are posted onto our website under Customer Login… Program Updates… but no e-mail notification is sent.  We leave the decision to you with regards to downloading.

14. I have subscribed to CD Updates, why do I not always receive a CD?

We only send out CDs when a cumulative update is issued. If you always want to be bang up to date with the evolving software then check the site regularly.
